Friday- 31st August 2012 Gordon picked me up at 7:30and we met Mummy at Marble Arch and took the tube to Stratford. We walked to the swimming. We had to take our coats off and put our bags through the xray machine but not our shoes. We watched men’s and ladies’ swimming. South Africa won one race . Swimmers from Germany, Malta, Poland, Spain, Brazil and Great Britain. There was loud music like Capital FM except at the start of the races when we had to be quiet. Some of the swimmers had lost a leg or an arm, some were in wheelchairs and some were blind. They had helpers who tapped them on the back with a long stick to tell them it was the end of the pool. We saw the diving pool which was not being used. We left the swimming pool and got a train to Excel where we went in to watch the Table tennis. We saw a Dutch girl called Kelly who won her match against a girl from Turkey. Lots of people were shouting for Kelly and the Turkish girl’s dad was shouting for her. Some of the players were in wheelchairs Then we thought it was time for lunch. We had pies ,mash and mushy peas , and I had yoghurt and water. After lunch we tried to see the powerlifting but there was a long queue , so we went to the Judo. The queue moved quickly and there was plenty of space inside. There were a lot of matches and people were throwing each other on the floor and sitting on top of each other but nobody was hurt except one woman who had a nose bleed. At 5:30 we left and outside the arena we met several of my friends including Ella, Daryl, Marcia and Fadwa. Christine was in charge. Gordon and Mummy had a cup of tea and we got the train home. I liked the Judo best.
